Gareth joined the business in the mid 1990s, following four years as an engineer for firms based in Bath, Manchester and Liverpool. He joined as Business Development Manager, a position he held for 15 years. Alongside his role, he learned the 'business' ropes from his father Lawrence – the then Managing Director. He took over in 2010 as MD himself and leads the business today. Gareth has overseen substantial growth over the last ten years, taking the company to where it is now. He is responsible for strategy, business growth and ensuring the future proofing of the HE Simm Group for the next generation.

In 2020, Gareth became the Chief Executive Officer of the HE Simm Group of companies.

Martyn Simm joined the family business in the 2000s. He started off working part-time as a plumber, his first full time experience of spending time on site was at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel scheme the company was completing at the time (2000/2001). He studied at the University of Northumbria as a Quantity Surveyor (HND), which he completed in 2003.

During University Martyn worked for Bowey Construction in Newcastle, he also completed a NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate.

Martyn’s full time position started in 2004 as a Accountants Assistant learning from his mother Jean Simm. Today he holds the position of Group IT Director.

Marcus is the Managing Director of our Engineering Division in the South. He is responsible for business operations and for ensuring our presence in London and the South is industry leading.

He started his career following the completion of an electrical apprenticeship with Drake & Skull. More recently, he has held director level roles in a number of companies, including Skanska, Mace and Phoenixme.

With a successful career of over 22 years, Barry brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role as Managing Director of Integrated Services.

Barry has total focus on providing his customers with the services and systems they require, ensuring they are safe, secure and compliant. His expertise lies in some of the most challenging professional environments such as hospitals, airports, prisons and schools.

Victoria Simm joined in 2014 before becoming the companies HR Manager. Today she is the Group HR Director, with responsibility to develop the group's Human Resources strategy for the benefit of our people and the business.

She has a BSc (Hons) from Sheffield Hallam University in Sports Development and Coaching and a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Teesside. She has also studied a CIPD in HR Management, gaining a Level 5 qualification in May 2019.

After a successful career in Building Services, the latter part of which was spent as an Executive Director of National MEP contractors, Eddie joined in an advisory role to assist in the strategic growth plan proposed by the business.

Having previously expanded other businesses in to new geographies and with an extensive knowledge of the London construction market, Eddie was a vital part of our development in to a major, national MEP provider.
