HE Simm, one of the UK’s leading MEP providers, has commenced work on the delivery of an £11m Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) installation at the Embankment West scheme in Manchester.
The contract will see the company work across c500 apartments and suites working for main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine, for end client Select Property Group.
The PRS and managed apartment development will create a vibrant new City Centre neighborhood in Salford near to Manchester’s central business & retail district. It is within walking distance of the city’s key employment hubs, popular stores and leisure spots, major transport links and education centres.
Full design and build MEP services, along with the use of offsite manufacturing techniques will be delivered via a local labour force from the Greater Manchester area. Six apprentices will also form part of the delivery team.
