HE Simm Awarded a Place on London & Quadrant Housing Trust Framework

HE Simm, one of the UK’s leading family-owned MEP providers has been awarded a place on south east housing association, London & Quadrant’s, framework for mechanical and electrical work packages (under £8m) for 2020 to 2024.

The award is part of an ongoing refresh of favoured suppliers and consultants for the residential developer – one of the UK’s most successful social businesses.

HE Simm is one of 12 and 13 specialist MEP companies to have been awarded a place on the mechanical and electrical frameworks respectively. Between them they will take a share of a programme of works worth £80m annually.

Gareth Simm, the company’s managing director, says of the news: “I feel very proud and privileged that we have been awarded a place on the L&Q framework for this specialist MEP package of works.

“HE Simm has come a long way since it was set up by my grandfather over 70 years’ ago. It is fantastic that we are now regarded as one of the leading MEP specialists in the country and this award is testament to that.

“It is also testament to the strength or our people, as without them the business would not have become what it is today.

“What hasn’t changed since those early days is our ability to collaborate and build trusted relationships with our customers and we look forward to doing exactly that with L&Q as a new customer moving forwards.”

The framework will run from 2020 to 2024 and is and is estimated to involve between £800 million and £900 million worth of housing projects including new builds, refurbishments and mixed-use developments.
