Fire and Security Expert HESIS Attains its LPS 1014 Certification

Liverpool-based HESIS Limited – an arm of HE Simm Group – has attained the Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 1014 certification for fire and safety.

Known to set the benchmark for consistency, competency and professionalism in the industry, the accreditation process lasts two years and involves the inspection and audit of no fewer than eight separate installations.

It also requires companies to provide evidence of design, installation, commissioning, and the servicing of fire alarm installations, in accordance with installation rules.

Since 2007, HESIS has established itself as one of UK’s leading Fire & Security specialists with clients in the aviation, hotel & leisure, and residential development fields, to name but a few.

Already the holder of the current NSI FIRE GOLD (Part of BAFE SP203-1) accreditation, HESIS recognised the requirements of many insurers and specifiers of the importance of being registered to the LPS 1014 scheme.

With the latest update of the building safety act continuing to highlight the importance of quality and regulations, HESIS concluded it was the right time to continue to invest and celebrate the importance of accreditations in the industry.

By meeting the requirements of LPS 1014, HESIS will be able to provide a single Certificate of Conformity to encompass the whole project, benefitting all parties concerned, such as the end user, the main contractor, insurers, fire brigade, etc.

Barry Juggins, Managing Director HE Simm Group’s Integrated Services Division, of which HESIS forms part, comments: “We’re delighted to have achieved the LPS 1014 certification. This is widely regarded as the highest level of certification achievable within the sector.

“LPS 1014 demonstrates and audits competence for the design, supply, installation, commissioning, service and maintenance functions. It puts us in the elite few companies that hold this accreditation in our industry and demonstrates our continued commitment to quality.”
