Design and BIM

Our in-house designers have extensive experience of creating outstanding designs for buildings. They use their expertise to develop concepts into fully realised designs, balancing diverse factors such as aesthetics, budget, structure, regulations, security and climate.

We use the latest BIM (Building Information Modelling) technology to communicate and develop designs and inform every aspect of construction.

Early Engagement

Through early engagement with our clients, we achieve reduced costs and better outcomes. Our collaborative approach, working alongside other design and construction partners, helps us to develop efficient, cost-effective and co-ordinated solutions. In parallel to this, our team of construction, planning, procurement and commercial professionals work alongside our designers to ensure that the design outputs are aligned with the delivery, programme and cost requirements of all project stakeholders.

Concept to Construction

Our designers shape the building development at every stage of a construction project. In response to the initial brief, they focus on concept design, including initial structural and services design. They then move on to create a developed design, at which point all the main components of the building are outlined, followed by a technical design ready for construction.

Design Management

We manage design throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budgets are met, designs properly communicated and deliverables achieved. Regular design reviews ensure that the developing design reflects requirements and is on budget.

BIM

As well as traditional drawing and modelling methods, our designers use the latest BIM technology to create and manage digital information for the design and construction of all the building assets. BIM is invaluable in enabling us to work collaboratively with clients on designs and manage information across the whole project lifecycle.
