Mechanical Supervisor

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to join our Engineering Services Division in Glasgow.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the effective implementation of the project/site programme. You will effectively manage our workforce, including any sub-contractors, to maximise productivity. You will coordinate labour and project/site activities, ensuring all materials are managed and available at the time they are required.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

  • Work with Senior Project Managers / Project Managers to identify labour and material requirements to ensure effective costing overall.
  • Regularly review requirements and make the appropriate recommendations to amend the programme to maximise productivity whilst minimising costs.
  • Ensuring design, installation meets internal and client specifications and statutory requirements.
  • Provide leadership for the delivery team in line with the company procedures and values, working to maximise and develop the potential of the team and individuals within.
  • Ensure that all operational activities are carried out in compliance with the company procedures and external legislation governing the business operations.
  • Provide input in the preparation of the project cost plan, budgets and enhanced margin based on the contract parameters and objectives to enable the maximisation of profits.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ability to use Excel, Word, email and PowerPoint. Able to create relevant spreadsheets and formulae, and create and deliver presentations to team members.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

A minimum of three years’ relevant experience within a mechanical supervisor role.

QUALIFICATIONS

IOSH Managing Safely, or an equivalent health and safety qualification

HVAC Level 3 Trade Qualification

CSCS Card (Trade / Supervisor)
